The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid: do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8-9
The words spoken in Deuteronomy remind us that we never walk into the unknown alone. Before we arrive at the next challenge, the Lord has already gone ahead of us, preparing the path in ways we cannot see. When the future feels uncertain or overwhelming, this promise anchors the heart: God is already present in tomorrow. The road that seems unfamiliar to us is not unfamiliar to Him.
Because God goes before us, fear does not have the final word. Discouragement often grows when we believe we must face life’s burdens by our own strength. Yet Scripture assures us that the Lord is not only ahead of us—He is also with us in every step. His presence steadies us in moments of doubt, strengthens us when our courage fades, and reminds us that our circumstances never separate us from His care.
Today’s invitation is simple but powerful: walk forward in trust. Whatever lies ahead—decisions, responsibilities, or trials—God has not abandoned the path. He walks before you and beside you, guiding and sustaining you. Therefore you can move ahead with quiet confidence, setting aside fear and discouragement, knowing that the faithful God who leads you will also carry you through.
